Brief
We’ve worked alongside the team at Sero on a number of projects and have seen for ourselves the incredible ways in which their forward-thinking technology is changing the way people across Wales use energy in their homes. Our most recent project with them is a 30 second advert to simply show how Sero helps households move towards a greener future. The innovative technology that Sero has created enables people to make energy savings part of their every day, through solar panels and battery storage.
Our approach
People often think a low carbon home is simply out of their reach, that it’ll be too expensive to install & take up too much of their time to operate. We wanted to show how easy Sero technology makes achieving true net zero carbon. The animation explains exactly how easily homes can create, store & share energy among their communities. The technology behind Sero’s plan for net zero homes is far from simple, but by breaking down the process into simple visuals, we were able to clearly show how Sero’s technology works to benefit families. A huge part of the Sero ethos is the importance of working together, they even have a worker bee as one of their brand symbols. We knew we wanted to include this in the animation & the bee worked as the perfect transition to move from the main explainer section of the animation, to the more illustrative character animation we finish the film on.
The result
The animation shows just how by working together as a community, we can all benefit from net zero carbon solutions, saving time, money & carbon. Sero has a fantastic brand identity, which is super fun to bring to life & we absolutely loved working on this animation & we hope you enjoy it too!
