Wrexham University Brand Film
An exciting campaign film celebrating the bold new rebrand of Wrexham University.
We worked alongside our friends at Design Dough in producing a brand film to announce the renaming & rebrand of Wrexham University. Aimed at strengthening its identity and place as a University, the film showcased the new visual identity of the University in situ across the campus, as well as showing some of the specialist state of the art facilities in use. The University also wanted to highlight the unique range of vocational degrees on offer at the University, to attract prospective new students. Showcasing not only the courses on offer, but the lifestyle & community that Wrexham University offers students as a whole.
The vibrant colour-scheme of the new brand identity really made the film pop & the bold graphics helped to drive home one of the core messages, ‘Be a part of something special’, to inspire a whole new generation of students to choose Wrexham University as their place to study. The focus on visualising the range of vocational degrees within the film was a key characteristic of the film, with the university dedicated to offering degrees that have the ability to spark change for students & communities alike, so the film needed to represent this. We focused on students using the specialist facilities, warm interactions between students & staff, as well as the relationships that students can expect to build within the community. We also focused on showcasing the wider landscape outside of the city, the World Heritage site just on the doorstep & the beautiful rolling countryside, all within a short distance of the city of Wrexham.
The result is a film which reflects the new, mature identity, whilst embracing the playful elements of their colourful new brand. A confident film that positions Wrexham University in the marketplace as a University that inspires students to shape their own future.
